For the cake:
- 1 package Devil's food cake mix 15.25 oz or 432g
- 1 box Instant chocolate pudding 3.9 oz or 110g
- 1 cup Sour cream 240g
- 4 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Water 120ml
- 1/2 cup Oil 120ml
- 1 1/2 cups Chocolate chips 255g
For cream cheese frosting:
- 8 oz Cream cheese 226g
- 1/4 cup Butter 57g
- 2 cups Powdered sugar 240g
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Preparing the Cake Batter
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour a bundt cake pan thoroughly.
In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, eggs, water, and oil until well combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
Baking the Cake
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
Carefully invert the cake onto a wire cooling rack and let it cool completely.
Making the Cream Cheese Frosting
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
Gradually beat in the powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
Frosting the Cake
Spoon the nothing bundt cake cream cheese frosting into a pastry bag or a ziplock bag with a corner cut off.
Starting at the outer edge of the cake, squeeze a line of frosting up and over the top, into the center hole.
Repeat this process around the entire cake.
