This 5-minute Molten lava chocolate mug cake is almost as good as the real thing: moist, rich, and decadent with molten chocolate inside.

- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 oz dark chocolate
- 4 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- ⅓ tsp baking powder
- 1-2 chocolate truffles in the middle I use Lindt dark chocolate
Take a 10-12oz microwave-safe mug.
Add butter and 1 oz of chocolate to the mug.
Microwave the mug in 15-second intervals until the butter and chocolate are melted and mixed well.
Add milk to the mug and stir to mix.
Add sugar and stir mug lava cake recipe in.
Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt into the mug. Stir well and make sure to scrape the sides and bottom so no flour is left.
Place the chocolate truffle(s) in the middle of the batter without pushing them all the way down.
Microwave the mug on high for 60-70 seconds.
Dust the top with powdered sugar.
