Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder
  • 8 oz dark chocolate 60-70% cocoa
  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup strong coffee
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 24-30 ladyfingers

Instructions
 

Make the Hot Chocolate

  • Combine milk, 1/2 cup heavy cream, powdered sugar, and espresso powder in a saucepan.
  • Heat and stir until the chocolate melts and the mixture is well combined.
  • Set aside to cool.

Prepare the Hot Chocolate Mascarpone Cream

  • Mix mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and half of the cooled hot chocolate.
  • Add 1/2 cup cold heavy cream and whisk to medium peaks.

Create the Coffee and Cocoa Soak

  • Whisk together strong coffee and cocoa powder in a wide bowl.

Assemble the Tiramisu

  • Dip ladyfingers in coffee-cocoa soak and arrange in a 9x9" pan.
  • Spread half the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  • Pour about 1/2 cup of hot chocolate on top.
  • Repeat layers once more.

Chill and Decorate

  • Refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours.
  • Whip the remaining cream and spread on top.
  • Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
