Instructions
Make the Hot Chocolate
Combine milk, 1/2 cup heavy cream, powdered sugar, and espresso powder in a saucepan.
Heat and stir until the chocolate melts and the mixture is well combined.
Set aside to cool.
Prepare the Hot Chocolate Mascarpone Cream
Mix mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and half of the cooled hot chocolate.
Add 1/2 cup cold heavy cream and whisk to medium peaks.
Create the Coffee and Cocoa Soak
Whisk together strong coffee and cocoa powder in a wide bowl.
Assemble the Tiramisu
Dip ladyfingers in coffee-cocoa soak and arrange in a 9x9" pan.
Spread half the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
Pour about 1/2 cup of hot chocolate on top.
Repeat layers once more.
Chill and Decorate
Refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours.
Whip the remaining cream and spread on top.
Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
